Mr. Cardella graduated cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law and has personally handled thousands of criminal cases.
Mr. Cardella began his legal career in criminal defense, fighting to protect the Constitutional rights of his clients against the government. Mr. Cardella has experience in every stage of the criminal justice process, including jury trials, court trials, suppression hearings, post-conviction relief, forfeiture proceedings, 1983 civil rights actions, appeals, probation revocation hearings, expungment, sealing of records, hardship license petitions, specialized driving privileges petitions, and plea negotiations. Mr. Cardella also teaches criminal law at the IU School of Law and has been recognized as one of the top 10 criminal defense attorneys in the State of Indiana under the age of forty by the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
Additionally, Mr. Cardella has represented a fellow criminal defense attorney in a felony jury trial which resulted in a verdict of not guilty on all charges. Mr. Cardella has also represented a former Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy who was fired after his arrest. All charges against the former Deputy were dismissed.
